Summer Reading
Late last week I ordered the book Home-Prepared Dog & Cat Diets: the Healthful Alternativeand I was very excited when it arrived yesterday.
With Sol's new digestive issues, we reached out to our old vet in Maryland, who originally got us started on the home cooking path, and she recommended several great resources.
I have Chapter 1 under my belt, but I also did a quick once through most of the book. It looks very in-depth. There are lots of charts on daily caloric requirements for dogs at different stages of their life along with many recipes. Hopefully, we will be able to find something that is a good fit for Sol and perhaps even tweak the boy's and Luna's diet a bit so that is even better for them.

Good Sign
It is always a good sign that the pugs had a fun weekend when their harnesses end up in the wash on a Sunday evening.

Weekend Warriors - Head in the Clouds
There is nothing better than lazy weekends where you can bounce from one thing to the next. The pugs are quite good at this. They take a little nap, sit in the sun for awhile, eat a little bit, take another little nap, chew on a bone, take another little nap, eat a little bit more...

Flashback
This week's flashback: Knee Surgery Two Year Anniversary
I forgot to post a little something at the end of June about Henry's knee surgery when he was a pup. It's hard to believe, but it has been 6 years since he had the surgery. Luckily, he is still doing great!
